Low Level Laser Therapy (also known as Laser Lipo) utilizes that part of the light spectrum where visible red laser diodes give off light penetrating into the subcutaneous layer where the fat cells are, changing the chemical balance within the fat cells which opens the pores in the cell walls to allow the content of the fat cells to “leak” out into the surrounding interstitial space from where it is transported by the lymphatic system to be naturally metabolized by the body and used as energy.

How Does It Work?

Unlike conventional liposuction, the idea of noninvasive laser lipo is not to remove fat cells, but to shrink them. During each session of laser-lipo, a technician places pads equipped with laser diodes directly onto the skin. The laser energy penetrates down to the fat cells and creates tiny holes in their membranes. This causes the fat cells to release their stored fatty acids, glycerol, and water into the body and then shrink, potentially resulting in lost inches. The body then flushes out the expelled fat-cell contents via the lymphatic system or burns them for energy.

Think of this as the “fat burning” phase of your workout. First, pores form on the cells causing them to spill out. The adipocyte cells reduce in size. This disruption does not affect the neighboring structures such as the skin, blood vessels, or nerves. The lymphatic system then removes the fat through the liver and kidneys, where they are processed in the same way as fatty foods, the rest is passed out in the urine. At the same time, the laser stimulates the lymphatic system and stimulates collagen to help tighten the tissue and skin.

Who is Eligible?

The pool of ideal candidates for laser lipo is a little bit smaller than for traditional lipo because the procedure isn't perfect for extensive weight loss. It might be right for you if you're:

-Only about 25 pounds over your ideal weight

-More concerned with "problem areas" than total-body weight loss

-In good health with good skin elasticity

What Areas Can be Treated?

All parts of the body that store fat can be treated. The most common treatment areas include:

-Abdomen

-Waistline

-Thighs

-Arms

-Under the chin

What is the Process Like?

This is a hands-free service and is a great time for you to relax! You are laying down for the entire treatment. Once you are laid down, the technicians will apply and strap the laser pads onto the targeted area. Once the pads have been applied, you will have a 30-minute session. Once your 30 minutes are completed, the pads will be taken off and disinfected.

How Long do Results from Laser-Lipo Last?

These results can be permanent as long as you are following our recommendations! We recommend drinking 100oz of water daily, having a healthy diet, taking collagen, having somewhat of an exercise routine, and wearing compression.
